Graphic English 203

I found chapter 12,  Creating Graphics the most interesting. I agree that the graphic can add a visual hook to draw the reader's focus and attention. A good amount of preparation seems to be a common element in all of this technical communication. The different designs and the amount of graphic to choose from makes this preparation a bit confusing. Questions arise like, will my audience understand, or be draw to this type of graphic? Is it to bright or dull? Even in the examples in chapter 12 there seemed to be a lot of information about the charts. The 3 dimensional charts were confusing and some seem to contain to much information. The main message I got from this chapter was that there are a lot of technical web tools to help you, try to target the audience and keep it as simple as possible to get your point across.
